Tank Traders
Founded in 2001, Tank Traders® operates a national propane tank exchange program. We help our customers to exchange their empty propane cylinder with a pre-filled replacement. Our coast to coast footprint is supported by nine strategically placed distribution and refurbishment centers. This allows us to deliver our product to retail locations across Canada in an efficient and timely manner, ensuring there is always propane in our cages!
Drying Station
I, designed using Solidworks composer and drafted the technical drawings for the Propane gas tanks drying station. The machine was capable of drying 4000 tanks in 8 hour shift.
For reducing vibrations, korfund pads were used upto 1" thick. The blower was also modified to reduce turbulence losses by making the inlet cone of blower convergent to allow laminar flow of air.
Scrapper Unit
This machine was designed in Solidworks to puncture a hole in the tank to eliminate an residual Propane gas before flattening the tank for scrap purposes.
